Diaper Bag Cake for Elizabeth

I made this for a coworkers Baby Shower. This is their first baby so I wanted to make it special. The diaper bag is chocolate cake with creamy chocolate buttercream then covered in dark chocolate fondant (taste just like a tootsie roll), The booties, pacifier and bib were all handmade from fondant. I love how it turned out and I think Mommy and Daddy were pleased!

Aren't those booties adorable?

Lynley's Sweet Baby Cake

This was a two tier cake for a baby shower. Top was Vanilla bean cake with Vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and the bottom tier was French dark chocolate cake with creamy chocolate buttercream. It was decorated using fondant with all edible fondant details.

Look at those sweet little toes....

Carolina's Dark Chocolate Cake

I made this cake for an amazing friends Birthday. It was a French dark chocolate cake layered with belgian chocolate ganache and creamy Java chocolate icing. I pressed the sides with dark chocolate vermicelli and piped the flower on top using my Wilton 125 tip. I started piping the petals from the outside and then made my way toward the middle finishing off the center with more Chocolate vermicelli. The cake was amazing (if I do say so myself:)!

Elmo's World Rainbow Cake

This is a cake a did a month or two ago for Molly. She was having an Elmo's World Party with a rainbow theme. Her Mom purchased THESE invites and so I themed the cake around them. I also used the cake from HWTM as inspiration. I love the ruffles of course, and I loved the colors of the party.

Brewington Wedding and Grooms Cake

I was lucky enough to share my Birthday with some friends who were married on the same day. Although I didn't make a cake for my birthday, at least I got a piece of their wedding cake. I have to admit that this was my first REAL wedding cake. I was a nervous wreck and most everything that could go wrong, pretty much did (okay, maybe not everything). Two hours before I had to replace the top two tiers with dummy cakes since the fondant had cracked. And then on the way to deliver it, I stopped on the side of the road because I heard something fall and when I went to stop the cake slid forward and put a dent in the fondant. UGHH! Needless to say, I won't be making another wedding cake until I have worked out all the kinks (sorry to disappoint anyone). But I thoroughly enjoyed making the grooms cake and it only had a few little issues, but nothing too important to mention :) Although there were issues with the wedding cake, it still tasted good and we had plenty to go around. As long as the bride and groom were happy then I guess I at least succeeded somewhat ;) Congratulations Chelsea and Chase. Looks like December 15th will be a special day for both of us!
